Cristo Rey Kansas City aspires to live out the core values of its sponsors, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. By inspiring the leaders of tomorrow’s world with these timeless values -- integrity, responsibility, respect, partnership and spirituality – the school becomes a change agent. This mission molds, shapes, and guides young people who will change their lives and the world.

Through the Christian Leadership Program, juniors and seniors animate the role of the Christian leader through exemplary action. Selected students meet weekly in a small faith community and provide leadership to the student body. Junior and Senior Christian Leaders

  • serve as retreat leaders for younger students,
  • plan and assist at school liturgies and prayer services,
  • provide leadership for community service initiatives, and
  • witness to others through exemplary lives.
