Scholarship Investment Program
Cristo Rey invites you to invest in a student committed to college-readiness and career preparation. To achieve their goals, Cristo Rey students:
commit to longer school days and a longer school year
- embrace a rigorous college-prep curriculum with tutors available for support
- adhere to high academic and behavior standards
- work five days a month in a local business, acquiring skills and discovering opportunities
- earn a portion of the cost of education through corporate work study
- receive individual guidance and support as they navigate college applications and campus life
Cristo Rey’s admissions process carefully selects students with proven potential and a desire to succeed. Admission is contingent on economic need. Every family makes an annual family financial commitment, averaging $300 per year. No student is ever turned away for inability to pay.
Suggested Scholarship Levels
Cristo Rey Champion - $5000 - $7500
Champions gain insights into a student’s educational journey through several touchpoints during the year and a year-end report. Champion sponsors are honored guests at the scholarship receptions and the Baccalaureate. The option to commit to a two to four-year sponsorship allows the sponsor to follow the development of a student through their time at Cristo Rey.
Puma Supporter - $1500 -$4999
Scholars write cards or notes several times a year updating donors and sharing their progress. Supporters receive invitations to attend the Scholarship Receptions to meet students benefiting from the program and a year-end report.
Scholar Fund Sustaining Donor - $250 - $1499
Benefactors receive several general updates. A scholarship reception presents an opportunity to meet students benefiting from the program.
