Cristo Rey puts a mobile learning device in the hands of every student. Students research, take notes, use apps to virtually mix chemical experiments, study human anatomy, prep for ACT, and create multimedia projects. Technology supports the classroom experience and opens doors to resources in and out of school.

  • Project Lead the Way, a STEM education program, embeds skills needed to succeed in the global economy. In 2014, Cristo Rey launched Introduction to Engineering Design. Students practice the design process, document their work, apply statistics and algebra to real-world problems, and master 3-D modeling skills using Autodesk Inventor.

    By 2016, Cristo Rey students enjoyed exposure to thee distinct STEM pathways:

    - engineering
    - bio-medical
    - computer science

    STEM Expo
    Through independent study, students follow a personal interest in the science curriculum. By researching and addressing self-asked questions, students dive deep and pursue a passion. An annual showcase engages the entire community in student learning.

    In the 21st Century economy, America is turning to innovation as the way to ensure a prosperous future. Innovation is tied to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math – the STEM subjects. Art + Design are necessary to bring to life the advancements possible through science and technology. Cristo Rey promotes Art + Design in the equation — transforming the energy from STEM into STEÂM.

    Students at Cristo Rey have the opportunity to take Digital Design. By studying the principles and possibilities of graphics, students stretch abilities in drawing, collage, apps, and software. The goal?  To learn the fundamentals of communicating and inspiring through visuals
